DIRECTOR

Jakob Winkler

Never afraid of a three dimensional challenge, Jakob has built award winning homes in and around Calgary. His work has been published in magazines and books. ‘Architects trust me to turn their vision into reality without compromise.’ In 30 years of mainly residential construction Jakob has completed homes in a variety of different building systems and techniques under his own company - CopperStone Homes. His background as a tool and die maker has taught him to find creative solutions without compromising the end result. “Let's create beauty that lasts.”

Eric Chao

Beginning with a true passion for all things in art and design, Eric finds the creative beauty in almost everything. With a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Calgary and PM construction certification from SAIT. “ Bridging art and design with construction seems so natural to me” Eric went from art abstract painter to 20 years in the construction industry, becoming the principal of Modern Block Inc. and past principal of Shelter Renovation + Contracting Inc.

Eric’s portfolio ranges from various custom residential renovation projects to light commercial builds.

Patrick Rousseau

Patrick has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship in a broad range of ventures. His background as an Industrial Designer has given him the tools to recognize and make products that are easily understood and used. This approach led him to co-found a company that is now publicly traded and recognized as the world’s leading company in its market. He also started, ran and advised businesses in many different industries and categories which gives him very broad skill set in all aspects of commerce. From grassroots to publicly traded companies, Patrick has done it all.

Designing

A successful project starts with the right architect.Bring your own architect or let us help you select the best architectural firm for your project.Through our experience, and knowledge of space, structure, and construction, we provide value assisted design by maximizing functional value and minimizing costs.We assist you in making informed decisions along the way, while infusing your individual style. Throughout the design process, we provide cost modelling to avoid unpleasant surprises when the drawings are complete.

Managing Costs

After the drawings are finalized, we provide a detailed cost estimate for your project and we continue to monitor costs throughout your project.Along the construction process, you will receive monthly updates where the budget is.

Crafting

We look after permits and red tape from start to finish.This includes acreage requiring road construction, development permits and more.

 

We oversee and coordinate the construction of your project, ensuring that it is completed within budget, on schedule, and to the specified quality standards. This includes managing personnel, resources, and subcontractors.
